Novi Sad, Sremski Karlovci and Fruška Gora
The most popular day trip from Belgrade, and for good reason. In one relaxed day you see a monastery of the Serbian Holy Mountain, a baroque wine town, a great Habsburg fortress and the elegant centre of Novi Sad.
North of Belgrade the plain rises into Fruška Gora, a low wooded mountain with sixteen Orthodox monasteries, vineyards and quiet villages. At its foot lies Sremski Karlovci, for centuries the spiritual heart of the Serbs in the Habsburg Empire, and across the Danube, Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina.
We take you there in a private vehicle, at your pace. Wine lovers can taste the famous bermet in a family cellar, history lovers will enjoy the stories of the Patriarchate and the fortress.
